Objectives There is an ongoing debate on the particular diagnostic value of FVC or VC for interpretation of PFT, especially in the criteria for obstructive ventilatory defect.We aim to investigate the diagnostic values of FVC and VC in PFT interpretation (especially in the assessment of obstructive ventilatory defect) through comparison the difference between VCmax＞FVC group and VCmax=FVC group in pre-bronchodilator spirometry.
