High Temperature Tribological Behaviors of Nano-Al2O3 in the Different Base Oils

  High temperature tribological behaviors of nano-Al2O3 in the different base oils were tested with SRV machine.The results show that nano-Al2O3 can obviously improve friction-reducing property of mineral oil at 100 ℃ after continuously heating test,fdction coefficient reduces about 35 %.Nano-Al2O3 can improve obviously the high temperature anti-wear property of mineral oil at 300 ℃,and abrasion reduces about 60 %.Under the identical test condition nano-Al2O3 cant improve the friction-reduction property of colza oil.After continuously loading test nano-Al2O3 can obviously reduce friction coefficient of mineral oil at 100 ℃ and 300 ℃,but friction-reducing property dont change at 500 ℃.Nano-Al2O3 cant improve the friction-reduction property of colza oil at the relatively lower load,when temperature is 500 ℃ and load is 500 N colza oil have lose lubricative function,but colza oil of adding nano-Al2O3 can still remain the lower friction coefficient.Nano-Al2O3 can improve anti-wear properties of colza oil and mineral oil,especially at high temperature.At 500 ℃ wear volumes of colza oil of adding nano-Al2O3 reduces about 28 %,wear volumes of mineral oil of adding nano-Al2O3 reduces about 60 %.
