The removal of S02 has received worldwide attention because SO2 as one of the major atmospheric contaminants has been causing a serious harm to the environment and human health.Currently,flue gas desulphurization (FGD) is considered as the most effective technique to remove SO2 from the combustion of fossil fuels.1,2 However,the traditional technology,such as limestone scrubbing,produces lots of solid waste (CaSO4),and SO2 cannot be recycled.
