It has been well documented that hydrogen sulfide(H2S)plays a pivotal role in various kinds of physiological and pathophysiological processes of central nervous system.We have demonstrated that H2S,as a neuromodulator,is involved in central control of respiratory activity in a dose-dependent manner in adult rats and medullary slices of neonatal rats.
