  Gastric cancer (GC) is the fourth most common malignancy and the second leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide with a 5 year survival rate of 20-30% for the advanced disease1.The prevention and diagnosis of early gastric cancer (EGC) fully enable clinicians to discover detect the tumor in the initial phase, during which time it can be endoscopically or surgically eradicated.However, the presence of lymphatic metastasis has a strong adverse influence on the prognosis of patients with EGC.To date, it still remains a great challenge for detection of the LN metastases at EGC with high sensitivity and high specificity by using conventional imaging modalities2.
