We developed an integrated microfluidic flow-through EC-quantitative PCR (EC-qPCR) microdevice for the concurrent DNA amplification, PCR producfs EC detection and PCR products quantification instead of the current available fluorescence detection scheme.The EC detection strategy enabled the development of the fast, easy, accurate, and compact DNA detection systems, and the integration of the PCR amplification and detection functionalities in a single chip reduced the size of the PCR microchip.The microfluidic flow-through EC-qPCR microdevice was fabricated with the state-of-the-art microfabrication technology, by bonding a bottom glass substrate having a microelectrode array to a top glass cover having the microchannels made of PDMS material.
