Ginseng, Panax ginseng C.A.Mey., has widely been used as a major medicinal plant and an economical cash crop in numerous areas of industries, including medicine, beverage, food, cosmetic, etc., in China.However,limited efforts have been made in its genetics, genomics and breeding research.To facilitate cloning,characterization and utilization of genes of economic importance in Jilin Ginseng, we have developed a large-insert plant-transformation-competent binary bacterial artificial chromosome (BIBAC) library for Jilin Ginseng cv.Damaya.
