  In this paper, we based on the gravity model and panel data regression model to investigate and study these two environmental regulation effects on Chinas export trade by using the export trade data of EUChina and ASEAN-China from the year 1990 to 2007.We firstly study and make the per capita carbon dioxide emissions as the proxy for environmental regulation.To ensure the reasonableness and accuracy of this proxy, we bring the per capita energy consumption into the regression equation.Then we work out the empirical results of the case of EU-China and ASEAN-China, and figure out three important findings after the comparative analysis the results.First, the foreign environmental regulation plays a great role in the Chinas export.Second, the environmental regulation plays its role in different direction in the case of EU and ASEAN.Third, the degree of environmental regulation effect of Chinas export is different.Finally, we give an explanation for these findings based on the internal mechanism and the export trade structure of these two cases.
