One of the mechanisms of inhibition by inhibitors is adsorption on metal surface and preventing metal surface from cathodic species.In recent years metal acetylacetonates complexes have become a viable ion-containing precursor for preparation of supported metal catalysts.Applications of acetylacetonate complexes are based on good adsorption properties on supports.In this paper acetylacetonate complexes were studied as anticorrosive inhibitors in phosphoric acid media due to high tendency to adsorption on metal surface.The inhibition performance of acetylacetonate complexes of Zinc(Ⅱ),Manganese(Ⅱ),Cobalt(Ⅱ) and Copper(Ⅱ) on corrosion of mild steel in 1M H3PO4 was studied using DC polarization.
