Actinobacteria are well known to produce many kinds of bioactive substances, including antibiotics.The order Actinomycetales comprises more than 300 recognized genera and 2500 recognized species (approximately 23.7％ of all recognized bacterial species) at this time, in spite of the relatively low difference of 16S rRNA gene sequences among Actinomycetales strains.
