Recently, many novel approaches including adsorption, oxidation, extraction and biodesulfurization have been proposed for the ultra-deep desulfurization of oil products.Among them, desulfurization by adsorption, divided into adsorptive desulfurization (ADS) and reactive adsorption desulfurization (RADS), is a promising approach for ultra-deep desulfurization.In fact, RADS has a rapid overload of the sorbent in the case of refinery streams with high sulfur content.For the efficient RADS process, it brings together advantages of catalytic HDS and ADS technologies.
