凝汽器是发电厂热力系统中的重要设备,因而凝汽器的腐蚀防护,是一项重要工作。除了选择合适的管材,调整冷却水质,提高管表面的耐蚀性,以及保持表面清洁以减轻腐蚀外,阴极保护技术也是控制凝汽器腐蚀的一个有效、经济的方法。它可以减轻电偶腐蚀以及凝汽器管的冲蚀和砂蚀,特别是能防止管与管板连接部位的腐蚀。国外已比较普遍地在凝汽器上设置阴极保护系统。据报导其中约1/3是采用牺牲阳极方式的。
