Alternative splicing is a process by which the exons of the RNA produced by transcription of a gene are reconnected in multiple ways during RNA splicing.It is an important mechanism of both regulation of gene expressions and diversity of proteins produced in eukaryotic organisms.With the advent of RNA-Seq techniques, computationally reconstruction of full-length transcripts comes to be realistic.Recently, the reconstruction of transcriptome encoded in eukaryotic genomes has become one of the most challenging problems in the field of bioinformatics.In this talk, I will present a new algorithm for reconstruction of all the full-length transcripts from RNA-Seq without a reference genome.
