Low temperature is a major environmental factor that limits plant growth, development and distribution.How plants sense and respond to cold stress and the crosstalk between phytohormone and cold signalings are not dear.In this study, we show that the essential components of ethylene signaling, including ethylene receptors and CTR1 are positive regulators, whereas EIN2 and EIN2/EIL1 are negative regulators in modulating plants responses to freezing stress in Arabidopsis.
