Social and Economic Value of Sport in an Automotive City

  From the second half of the nineteenth century it became a culture factor of vitality of the economy and the dynamics of economic innovation.The interaction between regional culture and organizational culture is reflected in local social responsibility,which in this research explores the embeddedness of companies in the field of sport.International companies in the global market treat the impact of culture on the region as a competitive advantage(Konczos-Szombathelyi,2014),where sport is a social phenomenon that has an impact on both society and the national economy.In competitiveness,besides the role of human capital,social engagement is also significant in the success of companies,which is realized in the spatial support of sport.(Nagy et al,2012)The survey examines the embeddedness of Gy(o)rs companies in the field of local sports,aiming to show that sport is a mediator between social phenomena.Method of research,sampling: The sample of the research is reported by Gy(o)rs companies,assessing which organization is important the sport as a social engagement or sponsorship.The research method is data analysis,complemented by interrogative research.Results: The study demonstrates how Gy(o)r as an industrial city incorporates companies into their culture in the field of sports,and sports as a factor appear in the embeddedness of companies.Based on the survey,it is possible to see the impact of the cultural environment on the local structure,which is the indicator of sport.
