Global warming is an important environmental challenge facing the world,and carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the major greenhouse gases.As an alternative,adsorption is considered to be a promising technology for separating CO2 from gas mixtures due to its low energy requirement,easy operation,and low maintenance.The obtained materials showed a high CO2 adsorption capacity.Nevertheless,the high cost and relatively poor hydrothermal stability of these materials limit their applications under commercially relevant operating conditions.From the point of view of industrial applications,researchers focused their attention on Kapok,a type of stable and inexpensive natural materials.
