Eggplant(Solanum melongena L.)is a warm-season vegetable.In off-season and spring early maturing culture, parthenocarpy can partly conquer flower and fruit drop caused by low temperature,enhance the fruit setting rate, increase yield, improve fruit qualities and raise benefit.Hence, Parthenocarpy is an useful trait and one of the main breeding objectives in protected cultivation for eggplant.
