Acrylic resin non-aqueous dispersion and silicone ware taken as consolidants for sandstone.The samples were tested in laboratory by many standards:color change,mechanic strength,water decomposition,freezing-thaw cycle,the distribution of consolidant,etc.Based on the laboratory test,the consolidants were test in the real site of Dazu stone carving,the result shows that the two kind of consolidants has advantage and disadvantage of their own,and both can be chosen as consolidant for sandstone.
