Adventitious rooting, whereby roots arise post-embryonically from non-root tissues including petioles, hypocotyls or stems,plays a pivotal role in vegetative propagation.The development of adventitious roots is a complicated organogenic process regulated by diverse endogenous and environmental factors, among which auxin is one of the main controlling factors.In this study, we used Capsicum annuum as the research material to investigate the role of exogenous indole-3-butyrie acid (IBA) on adventitious rooting of hypocotyl cuttings.
