Background Previous studies reported that an elevated HbAlc value is associated with the prevalence of cardiovascular disease and mortality even in patients without diabetes mellitus, independent of the fasting glucose value. However,no previous reports have examined the association between HbA1c value and the severity of coronary artery lesion in non-diabetic patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the HbA1 c level and the SYNTAX score in non-diabetic patients and assess the predictive value of higher HbAl c value to the intermediate and higher SYNTAX score.
