The synthetic approach of preparing materials with comparable recognition properties like molecularly imprinting technology is apparently important. This provides the mimicking of the bio-system by creating very selective recognition sites within the synthesized polymer network during the polymerization process [1-3].In this investigation, the feasibility of a nanobalance sensor for chloramphenicol based on molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was explored. The MIP was prepared by precipitation polymerization method[4].Methacrylic acid, trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate (TRIM), chloramphenicol, dichloromethane and azobisisobutyronitrile were used as the monomer, crosslinker, template molecule, chloroform, solvent and initiator respectively.
