Deoxypodophyllotoxin (DPT) is a naturally occurring cyclolignan initially isolated from some kinds of medicinal herbs, which possesses diverse pharmacological activities including anti-proliferative, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, etc.As a promising candidate for cancer therapy prior to its clinical phase, different pharmacokinetic profiles of DPT among various species under several doses were obtained in our studies.Even though extensive differences were observed from those pharmacokinetic characters, we made successful scaling among the related four species (i.e.mouse, rat, dog and monkey) in CL and Vss by allometric expression.
