In this paper,by using methods from quaternionic analysis,we study Maxwells equations.We first introduce a quasi-quaternion space,set up a three-dimensional vector field theory on this space.On this basis,we investigate some initial-boundary value problems for Maxwells equations and extended Maxwells equations,obtain the general solutions and solvable conditions of these problems respectively in different cases.
