　　The aim of this study was to improve mucoadhesive properties of amphiphilic chitosan derivative by the covalent attachment of thiol moieties.N-deoxycholic acid-N,O-hydroxyethyl chitosan-thioglycolic acid conjugates (TGA-DHC) and N-deoxycholic acid-N, O-hydroxyethyl chitosan (DHC) were successfully synthesised.
