We screened 67 children with Premature adrenarche(PA) and 98 adolescents with PCOS and metabolic syndrome and found that around 10-12 % of cases are secondary to glucocorticoid resistance.PA occurs before age g yr in girls and 9 yr in boys.PA can be a normal variant of maturation, precursor of metabolic syndrome, NC-CAH, tumor, Cushings disease and previously was considered to be a rare sign of GR.There has been only two reports of GR presenting as PA.
