Organo-phosphorus compounds represent an important class of chemicals, which are most extensively used in organic synthesis as well as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and poultry chemicals and in the preparation of materials with desired properties.Particularly aryl-phosphorus compounds find prime application as ligands in metal-catalyzed reactions in addition to other well-known organic transformations.Particularly in organic synthesis, arylphosphines with bulky ortho-substituted groups such as Buchwald-type ligands play important roles in organometallic catalysis.Their preparation usually requires transition-metal,moisturesensitive reagents and oxygen-free conditions. The transition metal-catalyzed C-P cross-coupling reaction is one of the most important methods to prepare arylphosphines and their derivatives.Herein,we report a novel transition-metal-free C-P and C-O bonds construction to afford(2-aroxyaryl)diarylphosphine oxides in good to high yields under mild conditions(Scheme 1).
