The mercury emission and release from Municipal solid waste(MSW)incineration is highly concerned in China,and the standard for pollution control on MSW incineration was revised and issued recently,as the MSW incineration capability increased.This review provides an overview on the main composition and the mercury in the MSW,the mercury speciation and emission from the MSW incinerators,the status and efficiencies of the mercury emission reduction technologies.The mercury control strategy for MSW incinerations will be suggested.
