There are a large number of barley varieties worldwide.The crop is relatively free from serious damage by blight or harmful insects; low in production cost because fallow land is used; and very profitable because little labor is needed.Barley leaves are rich in functional elements such as SOD (superoxide dismutase),vitamin C,vitamin E,provitamin A,chlorophyll,2-C-glycosylisovitexin.After extracting the barley leaf with ethanol+water(EW(3:1,v:v)) as a solvent three times,they were concentrated under reduced pressure (Rotary evaporator N-1,000,EYELA) and then fractioned by chloroform,n-hexane,ethyl acetate and butanol.After the fraction,it was divided up to A-F after TLC progress,by using ethyl acetate layer of the good activity.F(Rf=0.21 was divided into five fractions using HPLC.
