Hematopoiesis is the process whereby hemocytes are produced and released to the peripheral circulation.First I will make an overview of our work on hematopoiesis and then I will report our most recent studies on how hematopoiesis is under circadian regulation and what molecules are involved in this biological clock.Lastly I report our latest findings regarding how virus can manipulate the host cells not to undergo apoptosis through a totally new mechanism by which gC1qR binds to calreticulin and this complex prevents apoptosis.
