As an anode material for Li-ion battery, Fe2O3 has the advantages of high theoretical capacity and low-cost.However, Fe2O3 often suffers from rapid capacity fading due to the volume expansion effect and the poor conductivity.Herein, we have synthesized a novel composite structure to solve this problem.Fe nanoparticles wrapped in multi-walled carbon nanotubes were prepared by thermal decomposition of ferrocene in vacuum at 900℃, then the Fe nanopraticles were oxidized to Fe2O3 at 700 ℃C by carbon dioxide.
