Cordyceps taii,an entomogenous fungus native to south China,was a folk medicine with varieties of pharmacological activities,including anticancer effect.The chloroform fraction of C.taii (CFCT) was found as a major active fraction with anticancer activity.The CFCT exhibited dose and time-dependent cytotoxicities in vitro against human lung cancer A549 and human gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells with the IC50 values of 30.2 + 2.6 and 65.7 + 5.3 μg/mL,respectively.
