Irreversible retinal neurodegeneration diseases are a major cause of blindness.Previous studies have demonstrated that cell transplantation is a promising therapeutic approach to restore vision function.Here, we investigated the potential of human embryonic stem cell derived retinal progenitors (hESC-RPs) to survive and differentiate into retinal cells within rat ocular microenvironment.
