　　To improve the drug loading and stability of clarithromycin (CLA) loaded liposomes, a novel ion pair (IP) approach prior to encapsulation was applied using Cholesteryl hemisuccinate (CHEMS) and confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), 1H-NMR, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD).
