Tilletia controversa is an internationally quarantined pathogenic fungusthat causes dwarf bunt of wheat and is similar to Tilletia caries in bothteliospore morphology and genetic structure.This study developed a rapid andsensitive immunofluorescence method for differentiating the teliospores of T.controversa from T.caries.
