The final size of lateral organs in plants is determined by the cell number and size,which is delicately controlled by genetic and environmental factors through the coordination of cell proliferation and expansion.In Arabidopsis,two PEAPODs(PPDs)promote the arrest of dispersed meristematic cell proliferation.Here,we described a new ppd2 allele,ppd2-2.
