Microarrays offer a powerful means of studying human gene activity by providing insight into cellular changes.From a single experiment,specific gene expression events can be isolated,related annotations can be examined,an d individual genes can be selected for expression validation and quantitative transcript analysis.AppliedBiosystems has developed an integrated solution for whole genome analysis that offers significant performanceenhancement over existing microarray technologies.This system comprises the Genome Survey Microarray (designed using a fully curated human genome transcript data set),the 1700 Chemiluminescent Microarray Analyzer,highly sensitive chemiluminescent chemistries for the detection of low gene expression levels,and a full system software including an Oracle; Database that contains the most complete and current annotation of human genes.
