Purpose: To investigate the change in corneal thickness after LASEK for high myopia correction with a thin cornea and evaluate if this change is correlated with the intended correction.Methods: Forty patients (19 men and 21 women, 76 eyes) with corneas thinner than 500 μm that underwent LASEK were included and followed up at postoperative 3 months and 3 years when central corneal thickness and posterior surface curvature were respectively determined with a Pentacam system.Visual acuity and manifest refraction were also documented at all visits.
