China is extremely rich in plant diversity.However, inventory in China has still a long way to go.For completing the inventory in China and insights into relationships of plant groups we need a multidisciplinary approach to plant taxonomy.Our studies on Paeonia (peonies) and Codonopsis (Tangshen and its allies) are just examples of this methodology.
