  Effective control of nitrogen oxides (NOx) emission from vehicle exhausts under lean-bum condition is one of the most important targets in the scientific research for environmental protection.In this lecture, we will present our latest efforts to design novel multifunctional catalysts for DeNOx [1].Taking advantages of layered double hydroxide (LDH) materials ([M2+1-xM3+x(OH)2]x+(An-)x/n.mH2O) [2], we introduced various transition metals (M2+ and M3+) into the LDH structure and then converted to mixed oxides as the DeNOx catalysts.
