Rice false smut has recently become an serious disease in rice production worldwide.Ustilaginoidea virens, the agent causing false smut disease in rice, specifically infects rice flower and forms false smut ball.We previously performed transcriptome analysis on U.virens infecting rice flowers, and found that 132 genes encoding putative secreted proteins were up-regulated upon infection, which were considered as effector candidates.In this study, effector candidates were screened for identifying genes regulating plant innate immunity.
