Potentilla viscosa is a perennial herb growing in fixed dune and sandy grassland,mainly distributed in The northeast,north China and northwest China,Mongolia,and Siberia.The Potentilla viscosa have been used to treat hepatitis.Eight compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction,which elucidated as (+)-(S)-aspidinol D(1),4,5,7-trihydroxy-6,8-dimethyl-flavanone(2),5-methoxy-4-methyl-resorcinol(3),3,8-Dimethylherbacetin(4),3,8,4-trimethylherbacetin(5),6-Methylapigenin(6),ursolic acid(7),1-Monopentadecanoin(8).All of them were found from Potentilla viscosa for the first time.
