Previous literatures show that the giant panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca)has well-developed olfactory and auditory systemsyet poor eyesight.There are some studies on their color vision ability of the giant panda,yet the knowledge about its specific eyesight remains highly unknown.To investigate this we designated a special visual test paper and used it to examine and observed 8 captive giant pandas behavioral responses to pieces of moving paper with varying height(pitch)of horizontal black and white stripes.
