Synopsis The fragmentation of doubly charged anthracene molecule C14H10 induced by collision with H+ (5keV) and F+ (3keV) has been studied with the CIDEC method (collision induced dissociation under energy control). The excitation energy of the parent ion C14H102+ has been measured for the main dissociation and fission channels. The experimental results have been interpreted with a statistical unimolecular dissociation cascade model and density functional theory calculations.
