Ill talk about prospects for constraining the spin of the massive black hole at the Galactic center via the relativistic motion of a surrounding star.By using numerical simulations of the relativistic motion of a surrounding star in a large parameter space,we address the questions on (1) how accurate the astrometric and velocity/redshift measurements are needed to provide a tight constraint on the MBH spin by using the motion of a star,e.g.,the closest one to the MBH currently detected,and (2) what is the orbital parameter space for a possibly existing star that may help to put strong constraint on the MBH spin and metric with the next generation (or future) facilities.By addressing those questions,we provide guiding maps for future observational endeavor on constraining the GC MBH spin.
