Rice sheath blight (SB) caused by Rhizoctonia solani Kühn is one of the most destructive diseases in rice.Due to the complexity of host resistance and SB fungus pathogenicity, no uniform varieties and isolates have been established for identifying the interaction between rice and SB fungus so far, which results in a slowly progress in producing resistant cultivar to SB disease.
