中西文化差异越来越引起我国教育工作者和研究者的关注。在语言教学活动中,中西文化差异则体现在教学目的、教师的观念、教师的角色及学生的学习态度等方面。本文通过分析中西方国家EFL课堂中出现的学生错误与教师纠错片段,发现中国和西方国家EFL课堂纠错方式既有相似之处,也有不同之处。但调查结果的图示差异并不能反映其与中西文化差异之间存在某种联系,亦即量的差异不能说明实质。只有通过个例分析才能解释中国和西方国家EFL课堂纠错方式的差异如何反映文化差异。
The cultural differences between China and the West have increasingly attracted the attention of educators and researchers in China. In language teaching activities, differences in Chinese and Western cultures are reflected in the teaching purpose, the concept of teachers, the role of teachers, and the attitude of students in learning. This paper analyzes the errors of students and the error corrections of teachers in EFL classrooms in Chinese and Western countries and finds that there are similarities and differences between EFL classroom correction methods in China and western countries. However, the graphical differences in the survey results do not reflect the existence of a link between Chinese and Western cultural differences. That is, the difference in quantity cannot explain the substance. Only through individual case analysis can we explain how the differences between China and western countries in EFL classroom error correction reflect cultural differences.
