Preparation, Thermal expansion, electrical conductivity and polarization of nano-sized La0.8Sr0.2Cr0.3Fe0.7O3-δ were investigated systematically to evaluate their potential as interconnect materials for SOFCs.Thermal expansion coefficients (TECs) in the temperature range from 30 to 1000℃ were around 11.0× 10-6/℃, which is close to 8 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ).A phase transition was observed for those sintered at 900℃、 1000℃、 1050℃, but when sintered at 950℃, no phase transition was observed.Electrical conductivity of nano-sized La0.8Sr0.2Cr0.3Fe0.7O3-δ at 800℃ is 9.64 S cm-1 in air.Based on the chemical and dimensional stability, sinterability, and thermal and electrical properties, nano-sized La0.8Sr0.2Cr0.3Fe0.7O3-δ is suggested as a promising SOFC ceramic interconnect to potentially overcome technical limitations of conventional acceptor-doped lanthanum chromites.
