Chlorpyrifos (CPF) and cadmium (Cd) are widespread environmental pollutants.The acute toxicity of chlorpyrifos and cadmium are well understood.However, the combined toxicity of CPF and Cd, in particular the metabolite changes and biomarkers, was not clear.In the present study, we used metabolomics approach to study the combined toxicity of CPF and Cd after subchronic exposure at low dose to rats and to identify potential biomarkers for CPF and Cd intoxication in serum and urine of rats.
