Objective: To explore evidence-based nursing in cancer patients with pain in care applications.Methods: This study summarized the implementation of evidence-based nursing in 96 cancer patients who received treatment in the center and who were in pain from January2012 to January 2013.Care application methods included the following: (1) establishment of evidence-based nursing group;(2) presentation of evidence-based problems, namely, related factors and pathogenesis of pain, age, sex, and educational level of patients, and stage of disease treatment used to develop apersonalized care plan; (3) the evidence-based nursing group searched the literature to find related factors and pathogenesis of cancer pain occurrences and to evaluate the reliability and clinical utility of the evidence.Various factors that lead to different incidents of pain, as well as patient differences in terms of age, sex, education, and treatment stage, were considered to develop individualized care plans and health education which combined nurses clinical experiences and relevant knowledge and the needs of patients.Nursing interventions based on scientific rationality were ensured; and (4) evidence-based nursing practices, namely, assessing patients in different degrees of pain tolerance due to individual differences; observing and recording the site, intensity, nature, duration of pain, and other factors; implementing individualized care and personalized health education based on evidence, clinical experience, and actual needs of patients; performing dynamic evaluation on evidence-based nursing effects; and adjusting care plans and health education content according to the actual condition of patients were implemented.
