The catalytic enantioselective construction of tertiary alcohols is a challenging research topic in organic chemistry, as chiral tertiary alcohols are ubiquitous motifs in the pharmaceutical industry, biological sciences, as well as versatile intermediates in organic synthesis.[1] The asymmetric decarboxylative aldol reaction,[2] broadly utilized for the generation of enolate equivalents by extruding CO2 from carboxylic acids, has become an attractive method to access chiral alcohols.Recently,β-ketoacids have become an attractive synthon in enantioselective decarboxylative transformation.
